The flagship brand, NEW ZEALAND GOURMET PIES, were originally developed, scaled up and commercialised in conjunction with Ian Thomson in 2011. After Minhoco 21 acquired the assets of Geordie Bakers in May 2013, the pie production was fully integrated into the bakery; now known as “The Home of New Zealand Gourmet Pies”.
Have innovative recipes, often with a foodie twist
Are well-filled with tender meat, moist but not runny
Well- seasoned and flavoured
Have a short pastry as the base and a semi-flaky pastry lid
The pies can be easily cosumed hand-held or served on a plate with an accompaniment
